I love this cook book!  This ’MAKE-A-MIX’ cook book is the second edition that I have owned, and there are still more recent editions available.  Unlike other cookbooks, this book contains 67 easy to make basic  mix recipes that you can use to make innumerable dishes.

Just mix together the basic brownie mix and use that to make, Chewy Chocolate Cookies, Best Brownies, Texas Sheet Cake, Brownie Alaska, and Mississippi Mud.  This is just one example, there are recipes making bread, main dishes, soup mixes, seasoning mixes, the options are endless.  The recipes state how long the mixes can be stored and what dishes you can make with them.  In the world of rising food costs, this book helps save money while still making life more convenient.

I have had ” MAKE-A-MIX”for many years.  Time and time again I come back to it when my schedule gets crazy.  I can prepare ahead, go to the cupboard, or freezer, and there it is, the meal nearly all prepared!  Try it, who doesn’t want to save time and money?
