The past few months we have been remodeling our kitchen. You wouldn’t believe the mess!!! Electricians, carpenters, and the worst, the plumber tromped through my house grinding in the dirt. Up and down the stairs, across the recreation room leaving their trail.
I became very aware that my entire basement carpet badly needed to be cleaned. I turned to my copy of “Clean Your House and Everything In It” by Eugenia Chapman. I used the formula for carpet cleaner in the book, and, I cannot lie, my carpet is as good as new. Truly a miracle!
This book saved my life once before, as a young, wife, my husband was still in graduate school, we were very poor. I was pregnant with one of our many children. I pulled a batch of maternity clothes out of the dryer and with one look, sat down and cried. There was crayon melted all over my clothes. We were poor, I didn’t have the money to replace them! I turned to Ms Chapman’s book and tried her recipe for cleaning out crayon stains. With a little soaking, and scrubbing, and re-laundering I was able to save most of the clothes!
Needless to say, this book has saved me much more money than its value, many times over! Give this carpet cleaning solution a try, and when you see the results you will want your own copy of ,“Clean Your House and Everything In It”
Carpet Cleaner
1/2 cup of Ammonia
1/2 cup of Carbona (cleaning solvent, can be found in some fabric stores, and grocery stores)
1/2 gallon warm water
Mix together, soak clean towel in mixture and scrub soiled carpet spot, then, rinse with the following mixture: 1 cup white vinegar with 1 gallon warm water.
With another clean towel, rinse scrubbed carpet area. The white vinegar/water mixture cuts the soap residue and leaves your carpet looking great longer.
