WEBSITE REVIEW: Allrecipes.com

I LOVE THIS WEBSITE!  All recipes . com is a great resource for all of us stuck in the kitchen this Thanksgiving week!  Personally, I like being in the kitchen, so the adjective “stuck” should be changed to “creating”!  All recipes has innumerable recipes posted by cooks all over the world.  It is organized, just type in a recipe you are looking for in the search box and a choice of recipes appear complete with reviews and a star rating system.

A wonderful recipe I came across is Grandma Ople’s Apple Pie, I read some of the reviews, over 1000 were posted. All gave the recipe the highest rating (5 stars) and I am convinced to make this pie as one of our selections for Thanksgiving Dinner. 

You can access any recipe on the website, if you register (freeJ) you have access to your own private recipe box, you can generate shopping lists from the recipe box, and you can add your own recipes!  You can keep your recipes private, or you can share them on the website! (why not?)

Last fall I bought as Christmas gifts for my daughters, a recipe organizer that was very pricey, I spent over $300.00 (I have alot of daughters and a daughter in law)  If I had known about this website I never would have bothered with the expensive software.  Give All Recipes a try, you will find yourself returning to it often!
